Our Story

As a hardwood exporter, Hasegawa International grew rapidly and became the largest hardwood exporter in North America to Japan in the mid 1980’s.

Japan’s discovery of Alder from the Pacific Northwest region of the United States made our business very special. We were the catalysts who set up the spectacular debut for Alder to the world market. Now Alder is one of the most sought out hardwood species in the world.

As Alder earned the recognition and reputation from the world, Hasegawa International began hardwood remanufacturing business in Winlock, Washington, U.S.A. under the name of New America Wood Products.

Expansion & Changes

Later on, we strategically relocated our manufacturing operation to China and Eastern Europe in order to increase our competitiveness. That was the time we changed the name to Benjamin-Morgan Brand.

Today, Hasegawa International is the largest hardwood cut stock and components exporter to Japan from Europe and Benjamin-Morgan Brand enjoys a dominant position in the rustic hardwood door and bed markets in North America.
